IOTA Membership of International Trade Associations

IOTA Joins ASLA and BALI

IOTA has been accepted into ASLA and BALI,

as a Corporate Member and Affiliate Member respectively. These two organisations represent the best in international landscape design and construction:

The American Society of Landscape Architects was founded in 1899 as the professional association representing landscape architects across the US; since which time it has grown into a truly international organisation, with a membership encompassing some 42 countries around the world.
The British Association of Landscape Industries is the UK’s representative trade association for firms undertaking landscaping, both interior and exterior, and associated suppliers to the industry.

The principal aim of both organisations is the promotion of standards within the industry, and membership is carefully vetted.

Said Mark Chessell, IOTA Chief Executive:

“We are delighted to have been accepted into both ASLA and BALI at the same time, which is a testament to IOTA’s growing reputation as an international landscape industries supplier. Whilst garden centre supply remains centrally important to our business, nonetheless today you are just as likely to find our planters in a 5* hotel in New York, or a corporate head office in the City. We see these different trade markets as complementary and inter-locking, and this breadth of coverage and competence makes IOTA unique in the industry.”

In addition to ASLA and BALI,

IOTA is also a member of the following trade organisations:

Gardenex , founded in 1961, is the Federation of Garden and Leisure Manufacturers. Its member companies are engaged in the international export of gardening and leisure equipment designed and/or manufactured in the United Kingdom.
The Garden Centre Association represents leading garden centres in the UK and Northern Ireland, and suppliers to this industry. Each Approved Member of the GCA is inspected annually, to ensure that high standards are maintained.
