Edinburgh – Cala Homes – Waterfront Plaza, EH6

IOTA was commissioned to design and manufacture large bespoke Powder Coated Steel planters, for Cala Homes’ new Waterfront Plaza development in Edinburgh.

The order was for a total of 36nr. large planters, with varying dims. and arrangements, up to the largest L 3745 x W 1500 x H 525mm. All planters were manufactured from 3.0mm Zintec Steel, polyester powder coated to RAL 7016 [Anthracite grey].  

Waterside Plaza is laid out as three, horseshoe-shaped buildings, each surrounding a community garden on a podium deck above ground floor parking. IOTA’s planters are used to green these focal-point community gardens, which are otherwise laid to artificial turf.
