Embassy Gardens, London SW8

Information

Bespoke Steel planters were commissioned for a central location at Embassy Gardens, directly opposite the iconic new United States Embassy building.

The planters enclose the outdoor seating area of Darby’s – a new restaurant by award-winning chef Robin Gill, based on immersive Irish cuisine, and featuring an oyster bar, on-site bakery and open-fire cooking. Darby’s is located only yards from the main entrance to the US Embassy, and beneath the iconic Sky Pool, on a landscaped piazza which is guaranteed to become the central cultural hub of Embassy Gardens.

52nr. planters in total were commissioned by In-Ex Landscapes, including rectangular, trapezoid, and L-shaped designs. The planters were manufactured from 2.0mm Zintec Steel and Polyester Powder Coated to RAL 9004 [Signal black]. We offer similarly sized planters as part of our standard range, which can be seen here.

Embassy Gardens is a riverside development by EcoWorld Ballymore in the heart of Nine Elms; whose revitalisation, masterplanned by Sir Terry Farrell, has been described by the Mayor of London as “possibly the most important regeneration story in London and in the UK over the next twenty years”. Embassy Gardens surrounds the iconic new United States Embassy building which creates the cultural anchor for the district. Directly across the river from Pimlico, and the nearby regeneration of Battersea Power Station, Embassy Gardens is the centrepiece of the last great new district in the centre of London.
