IOTA was commissioned to supply statement steel planters for Imperial College West – a new innovative and integrated campus located at the centre of the major White City regeneration masterplan.
A total of 12nr. large conical planters were supplied, each Dia. 2100 x H 1150mm, with an unusual extra-wide feature rim. The planters were massively constructed from 5.0mm Mild Steel, zinc-primed, and Polyester Powder Coated to RAL 7016 [Anthracite grey]. The planters were also designed to be movable by fork lift, via stainless steel-lined slots in the base. Ultra heavy-duty adjustable feet were also included in the design, each with SWL 1000kg.
IOTA was commissioned by landscape contractors Maylim Limited on the basis of Design, Manufacture and Supply, working from a concept design by GROSS.MAX. landscape architects.
Imperial College West is a new innovative and integrated campus located at the centre of the major White City regeneration masterplan. IOTA’s planters feature in the external works package for the area surrounding one of the campus’ new flagship buildings - the Michael Uren Biomedical Engineering Research Hub.
