IOTA was commissioned to supply planters and timber trellis screens for the Victoria Square development in Woking, Surrey.

The Scope of Works included:

  • 2nr. large, multi-section planters of dims. L 41m x W 500mm x H 750mm and L 21m x W 1000mm x H 800mm.
  • A total of 39 linear metres of trellis screens, in various locations, comprised of 44x160mm machined FSC Cumaru timbers.
  • Complete design responsibility, incl. SE approvals.
  • Installation.

The planters and trellis frames were manufactured from 3.0mm Zintec Steel, finished to RAL 7016 [Anthracite grey], with a durable, 3-coat Polyester Powder Coat system suitable for C3/C4 environments.  

The Victoria Square development in Woking town centre is a joint venture between Woking Borough Council and shopping centre owner and investor, Moyallen Group. At 34 and 32 storeys high, the two residential towers feature over 400 high specification apartments in a prime location. The 23 storey third tower is home to the town’s newest hotel – the 189 room flagship Hilton Hotel.

The new development is anchored by 125,000 sq ft of commercial space; featuring the new Marks & Spencer food and clothing store across 50,000 sq ft, a multi-storey car park, a medical centre and two public plazas.
