Project Location: Bath, BA2 7AZ

Bespoke steel tree planters were commissioned for the new building for the University of Bath School of Management.

The planters were fabricated from 3.0mm Zintec Steel, zinc primed and Polyester Powder Coated to RAL 7037 [Dusty Grey]. The planters of dims. L 1200 x W 1200 x H 1000mm were designed to be movable via forklift, and included forklift channels lined with 304-grade Stainless Steel for protection.

IOTA’s planters were commissioned by contractors Bouygues UK Ltd, on the basis of Design, Manufacture and Supply.

Opened in 2022, the new School of Management building is situated at the main entrance to the University of Bath campus, and it was designed by pioneering British architects Hopkins. The landmark £45m, seven-storey building offers an airy, open layout which aims to foster collaboration; and it also integrates the latest technology enabling the University to begin teaching differently, facilitating world-class research, and supporting the university to attract increased numbers of post-graduate students.
